CEI Enterprises, Inc. was established as a manufacturer of asphalt heating and storage equipment in 1969. The CEI reputation for product efficiency, durability and strong service support has enabled equipment sales to expand worldwide.
Knowledgeable and enthusiastic CEI Regional Sales Managers canvas their territories in the United States and Canada. Their mission is to find out the equipment needs of their customer, and to help meet those needs in the most cost-effective way. Inside sales personnel have the same mission. CEI sales efforts are enhanced by Other Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and non-exclusive dealers.
CEI, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, became an Astec Industries company in 1995, and a sister company to Heatec, Inc., located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Because of the similarity in products between CEI and Heatec, and to facilitate customer satisfaction, the United States and Canada have been divided into two sales areas: The dividing line is I-35, starting in Texas, ending in Oklahoma and blending into I-135 in Kansas. It continues along Hwy. 81 and blends into I-29 through North Dakota. The CEI sales territory is everything west of this dividing line. The Canadian territories covered by CEI are British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. Customers who prefer Heatec style equipment and live on the west side of the dividing line will be pleased to learn that CEI also manufactures and services Heatec equipment. This is a definite advantage for the customer, as freight charges and airline travel will be lower.

CEI has two styles of Circulating Hot Oil Heaters available:
- Jacketed Firebox (Output range: 1,227,000 - 6,205,000 btu/hr)
- Helical Coil (Output range: 700,000 - 3,000,000 btu/hr)

- Vertical
- Standard capacities: 10,000 - 35,000 gallon
- Indirect heat with hot oil coils

- Accessories: Mixer, safety ladder and hand rails, gauge board
